Welcome to my blog!
I'd like to thank dear friend and mentor Karyn Witmer (aka, Elizabeth Grayson) -- http://elizabethgrayson.wordpress.com/ -- for inviting me to answer her questions. Her invitation pushed me to start the blog I've been meaning to get to--some day--maybe-- Oh well, here I go with the premier of Claudia's Chatter.
*****
What is the working title of your book?
I have a few works in progress, but the one I'm focused on is DRIVE TO SURVIVE.
Where did the idea come from for this book?
DRIVE TO SURVIVE was inspired by a suggestion from a family member, who I'm sure is hoping to go with me to research the premise.
What genre does your book fall under?
This targets Intrigue/Romantic Suspense category romance.
How long did it take to write the first draft?
When I put fingers to keyboard on a daily basis a category romance takes me about three or four months to complete.
What actors would you use for a movie rendition of your book?
That's an interesting question. I think I'll need to let my characters talk to me a little more before I make a definitive statement. One thing for sure, the hero will be hot and handsome, confident and alpha.
What is a one sentence synopsis of your book?
DRIVE TO SURVIVE: First he let her win the auction, then he offered his trailer to tow her find home, but a run for their lives was never in the bargain.
Will it be self published or represented by an agency?
My target is agency representation.
Who or what inspired you to write this book?
Among other things, I'm going to love the research for DRIVE TO SURVIVE. Plus my first car was a convertible, so the idea of flying down the road and wind in my hair are instilled forever.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
A couple of my favorite Intrigue authors are BJ Daniels and Delores Fossen. And nobody writes alpha heroes like Catherine Mann and Cherry Adair.
What else about your book might pique the reader's interest?
DRIVE TO SURVIVE will be the first in a mini-series. Just as the wheels slow down on this story, there'll be another one barreling up the passing lane!
